Information regarding anti bullying week, attendance, Children in Need and Christmas dinner!

Anti Bullying Week / Odd Socks Day

Lots of pupils and  staff are wearing odd socks into school today as part of Anti Bullying Week.

There was a special KS1 and KS2 assembly this morning where the Choose Respect  message of this year's Anti Bullying Week was shared and discussed.

At this assembly the types of bullying were also discussed along with reminding pupils that they can speak to any adult at school if they are worried that they or any of their friends are being bullied, that we will do something to stop it.

The assembly ended with watching this year's  Andy and the Odd Socks anti bullying song - Choose Respect - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLoHRqkKi18

Children In Need - Friday 15th November

We are having a non uniform day this Friday 15th November to raise funds for the annual BBC Children in Need appeal. For a donation of £1 via ParentPay pupils can wear non uniform and bring a bear to school!

These bears need to be small and well behaved please, as they will have to sit quietly at the back of classroom during lessons and learning!

So that they do not come to any harm, all bears will also need to stay in at break and lunch times.

Attendance

Thank you for your support with making sure your children attend school every day in order to make the most of their education.

Our attendance champions for the first week after half term were yet again 4A.

A fantastic effort from these pupils and their teacher Mr Atkins.

We are currently below our whole school target of 96% and only 0.1% above the national average of 95.5% at 95.4%.

Please remember that no holidays should be taken during term time. Taking holidays during the school term will be recorded as unauthorised absence and the school will refer such cases onto the local authority (Staffordshire County Council) who may administer a penalty fine.

Christmas Dinner

The first school Christmas event date for your diary is Wednesday 18th December when our school kitchen will be serving a traditional Christmas dinner to pupils. More details to follow.
