School Uniform / Jewellery2 September 2024 (by admin) |
A reminder of our school uniform and of guidance regarding the wearing of jewellery to school.
At Millfield Primary School we believe that having a school uniform plays a key role in:
• promoting the ethos of a school
• providing a sense of belonging and identity
• setting an appropriate tone for education
We are extremely grateful for the support of parents / carers with this.
A reminder that our school uniform consists of:
• Plain red cardigan / Jumper/ Sweat shirt
• White polo shirt
• Trousers/Skirt (black or very dark grey)
• Socks (black or white)
• Black shoes
Our school PE kit consists of:
• Coloured house t shirt, black shorts and appropriate sports shoes / trainers.
Pupils may wear other kit to school dependent of weather conditions - for example plain joggers, sweatshirt, zip up top, etc.
Please note pupils should not wear football shirts or other fashion sportswear to school as their PE kit.
If parents wish to purchase branded school uniform this is available using the online ordering service below:

Jewellery
Rings, necklaces, bracelets are a hazard in school and should not be worn to school. (Please note the exception to this is any jewellery that needs to be worn for medical reasons, e.g. a medical bracelet).
The wearing of earrings is discouraged in school.
If parents opt for their child to wear earrings they must be small plain gold/silver studs only; hoops and large or dangly earrings are not permitted for health and safety reasons.
Only one pair of small studs is allowed to be worn in school (please note these will need to be taped up or removed during PE lessons and activities).
Children are allowed watches to school but these should not be smart watches which could allow photographs to be taken and could be linked to the internet.
